Opening CIS, receiving an email and using a campus credential are different events. Treat UCard as its own service with its own instructions. That prevents an account milestone from being mistaken for proof that a building, printer or other campus use is ready.
Three observations worth separating
- Photo or application communication
- A message can tell you what the UCard Office has reviewed or what to do next. Read its actual wording; do not rename it “all services ready.”
- Credential preparation and activation
- The UCard mobile page has a dedicated sequence and currently names Atrium Campus Connect. Follow that owning page rather than assuming a campus-life app replaces every credential step.
- A particular service accepting the credential
- Ask about the exact intended use. The official instructions distinguish activation from downstream service availability, including building and printing systems.
Those are observation categories, not official status labels. We deliberately do not reproduce device setup, wallet settings, two-factor enrollment or transfer instructions. The current UCard source is the authority for those steps and warnings.
Worked case: approval is a waypoint
Choose the support boundary
The UCard support page directs questions about Mobile UCard setup and use to the UCard Office. It distinguishes these from device operating-system, wallet and vendor-account questions, which belong with the relevant vendor. An office may need to help determine which category applies; you do not have to diagnose the fault before contacting it.
If you do not have a compatible mobile device, the UCard FAQ describes a physical-card alternative. Ask the UCard Office which arrangement applies to you. This publication does not promise delivery, fees, compatibility or campus access rights, and it cannot issue a credential or approve a photo.
Before changing anything irreversible
Read the whole current official sequence, including any consequences for an existing physical card, before activating a replacement method. Do not experiment solely to see whether a different card works. The official Mobile UCard page contains consequences that a short campus overview may not include.
Visit the official Mobile UCard instructions when you are ready to act. Campus Arrival Atlas is independent; do not upload an ID image, headshot or campus credential here. Use only the verified official submission route for documents the University requests.
